Raglans: Natives

A welcome return from the boys who make up the band Raglans. Another upbeat indie song to get ya dancing and chanting. Natives is in a similar vein to earlier tracks ‘Man From Glasgow’ and ‘Digging Holes’. The song floats between lead singer Ste’s Irish lad-style delivery in a kind of call and answer with the rest of the band before the full chant from the whole band. The lyrics always come across as an honest feeling being brought to life in as catchy a manner as possible, with a big chorus to hook in any audience they can find. There are two sides to the music the lads deliver, one like the above indie guitar and drum dancing songs and then the more folk oriented harmony filled singalongs like the below.

Raglans: Not Now

The variety leads to great live shows. The lads also seem to strike the right balance between delivering the right mix of fun-filled banter and serious music. Their videos in particular when working with the talented Finn Keenan capture this perfectly.

Check the lads out live Friday 28th of June in Whelans (Support Daithi) get your tickets here. If you haven’t seen them live I suggest you do there are very few bands who will jump-start your Friday night like Raglans.
