All The Rowboats (Regina Spektor’s New Single)

28 Mar

Regina Spektor is back on the scene with a haunting single in the style of music that Regina has made her own over the years. Its that theatrical folk sound that she does so well and if you havnt seen her live, you can imagine her performances tend to be just as vibrant as her songs ebbing and flowing from the soft and sweet Samson to the more cinematic and grand such as her new single ‘All The Rowboats’ where she sucks you into her story and carries you all the way to the conclusion.

What’s with the unnecessary thumping noises near the end? I’ve never heard a rowboat before. Is that what they sound like?

Regina’s vocals do not need these thumping noises to… amp the song up…

Also. I like the piano solo she’s got in this.

Yeah the piano solo is very nice, no a row boat doesn’t sound like that think those beats are just a musical choice she made they add drama to the song I suppose.
