Definitely Forwards Not Backwards (We Cut Corners)

2 Mar

Their new video for song Toll Free by TUSK productions.

We Cut Corners debut Album Today I realised I could go Home Backwards is an album that came out last November, I wasnt doing to much blabbering about music on the internet then so plenty of others have reviewd this album im sure. So it shouldn’t be a secret how good these guys are to you by now, but if you havn’t heard them yet here is a quick low down on why you should be listening to them.

These guys have been around gigging for awhile and I first heard them supporting somebody I went to see its been a few years at least, Ive managed to see them a couple of times as support acts so they have been hard at it and its great to finally see an album. The album flits between the immediacy of a punk sound (“Three People“) from the minimalist guitar and drums set up these boys use to the swaying folky vibes of “a pirate life“.
Im trying not to pigeon hole (despite what it may look like) this band because you really cant they are unique and have really honed their sound and played on there strenghts. Creating a solid album that you can listen through all the way with no dip in the quality.

So if you need a dose of music that will bring you on a journey fast this the album for you.

P.S This is a strange kind of love song “Dumb Blonde“. This shows how adept they are at a melody and some well written and honest lyrics.
